Meet the Team
Janice Watkins
Janice began her training as a play therapist in 2007, after a career in social work, which culminated in working as a Family Court Advisor. Janice and Angie set up Toucan for Children in 2010.
As well as working therapeutically with children, Janice is qualifying to become a clinical supervisor for other play therapists. She also manages the day to day running of Toucan.
Angie Beard
Angie began her training as a play therapist in 2009, after a career as a Probation Officer working primarily with young offenders and as a Family Court Advisor.
She joined Janice at Toucan for Children on a full-time basis in 2011 and is now qualifying to become a clinical supervisor. Like Janice, she works therapeutically with children and also manages the day to day running of Toucan.

We have a great team made up of qualified play therapists, practitioners of therapeutic play and also students studying for their play and creative arts therapist qualifications.
Having such a wide ranging team means we can provide the most appropriate therapist for each child.
Our Trustees
Our team of trustees come from a variety of backgrounds bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to aid in the day-to-day management and running of Toucan.
